Shark-Gone-Bad Art

I.C. - Haw, haw, haw... (2006)Now here's a stuffed shark which is art, even though I say it myself. It's my Mickey-take of Moneybags' rotting carcass, first posted on Coxsoft Art News two years ago (CLICK). To see my animated GIF of the shark-gone-bad laughing, click the title link.

Hirst will only be famous as long as Saatchi is around. That is my theory. Right now he can exhibit in any gallery he desires simply because the gallery owners want to be associated with him because Saatchi favors his work. Once Saatchi is gone they will all pander to the whims of the next mega collector. I've been to enough openings and art fairs to know that Hirst is often nothing more than an inside joke. Emin is not any better off.

Good to know people in the art lark are seeing through Moneybags and Emin. It'll be interesting to see what happens at the Sotheby's London auction of his tripe in September (see new blog post).
