Newcomer Awards

The shortlist for the inaugural abstract critical Newcomer Awards, worth £5,000, has been announced (title link). The uninspiring example shown is Dan Roach's Inscape (2011). The 5 shortlisted graduate artists will display their work at Kings Place Gallery in London from 30 March to 20 April (CLICK) when the winner will be awarded his or her prize. I've yet to see any abstracts that compete with the beauty of Fractal Art (CLICK).
