Art by Animals

The Grant Museum of Zoology at University College London (UCL) has recently opened a free exhibition of Art by Animals, part of its Humanimals Season (title link). The paintings are by apes and also by Boon Mee, a retired logging elephant in a zoo in Thailand; his/her keeper tugs an elle ear to guide the paintbrush. Now for a perfect example of how the BBC wastes licence-payers' money. Brenda Emmanus of BBC London News shot along to this show as soon as it opened (CLICK). Today BBC News posted a video report by David Sillito (CLICK). Two reporters, two camera teams, two sound teams, all for one small show! Oh, profligate BBC. Tut, tut. UCL, where are the sea lions (CLICK) and piglets (CLICK)?
