Libertine Legends

Today the Stair Sainty Gallery at 38 Dover Street, London, opened Federico Beltrán Massés: Blue Nights and Libertine Legends, the first major UK retrospective since 1938 of the late Cuban-born, Spanish artist Federico Beltrán-Masses. Here is one his most famous paintings, anatomically suspect Salome (1918) exhibited at the 1920 Venice Biennale. Hollywood legends Joan Crawford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr are the subjects of two of his portraits. The exhibition runs until 16 November. CLICK to view more of his art.
