Dr Who's Crumpet

Continuing the philately theme, Royal Mail celebrated the 50th anniversary of BBC TV's sci-fi series Doctor Who by issuing a set of stamps featuring 11 reincarnations of the Time Lord plus a handful of favourite monsters (CLICK). At the time I thought it was sexist of Royal Mail to ignore Doctor Who's crumpet. What would the show be without gorgeous young women ducking and diving to avoid those cranky old monsters? Since the show's revival in 2005, regular companions have been:
1. Karen "Legs" Gillan as Amy Pond
2. Billie Piper as Rose Tyler
3. Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones
4. Jenna-Louise-Coleman as Clara Oswald.
Fans take note that the 50th Anniversary Special will see the return of Billie Piper and David Tennant (CLICK).

I thought she was a disaster. Anyway she wasn't the usual tasty young crumpet, just a Christmas Special who hung around too long.
