. Rossetti scholar Virginia Surtees bought the painting in 1951 for £285. It is now worth an estimated £700,000 - £1,000,000. Now aged 97, Virginia Surtees is selling her collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings and drawings. The Surtees Collection comes up for grabs in Christie's London sale of Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art on 17 June. CLICK
