Shakespeare's Voice

The British Library's life-sized marble statue of William Shakespeare, commissioned by actor-manager David Garrick and created by Louis Francois Roubiliac, is the latest work to be included in Talking Statues, the public art project which has animated statues across London and Manchester. The competition to create a maximum of 400 entertaining words for the Bard to say was won by budding screenwriter Ed Wiles. That old ham Simon Callow does the voiceover (CLICK).
